Brightened and Bronzed: REVLON

Being half Armenian, I am easily prone to dark circles under my eyes and am always searching for a product I can use when I don't want to wear globs of makeup or concealer. I found this Revlon Eye Primer/Brightener for about $9.99 at CVS and it has literally solved this issue for me. When I'm at home I love to have no makeup on so this lightweight creamy product is perfect for me to throw on while wearing pjs and still feel like I look like I got more than 4 hours of sleep.

Another product I recently tried is this Revlon bronzing palette. I use this on the apples of my cheeks and also as a liner for the perfect bronzed day look. I take any eyeshadow brush and rub a little of the golden hue right under my eyes and it makes the brown color of my eyes pop. I also use the white color under my brows to highlight them.

Have you tried any of these products? Comment and let me know =)

"Long Hair DO Care"

Let me first start by saying that it took me YEARS to get my hair to where it is today because of the damage I put my hair through in my teen years. I remember the first time I ever touched my virgin hair was when I was 12, and from that point on I explored every color, cut and hair extension imagineable. It wasn't until I got a huge bald spot on the back of my head from wearing my sewn in extensions while swimming that I realized I needed to stop what I was doing and nurse my hair back to health. Of course this meant I had to go through an awkward period where I couldn't mask my short hair with extensions and I couldn't color my roots to blend in with the remainder of my hair. Nonetheless, going to an all girls highschool helped in that department and messy buns became my best friend.

Today I have 100% natural long hair that I consider "virgin" since it hasn't seen any color/highlights for over 5 years. Contrary to what most hair stylists will tell you, I don't believe you need to cut your hair to grow, and I get my hair trimmed 2-3x per year. In terms of products, I believe less is more--using only conditioner on my ends, Loreal detangler to comb my hair out, John Frieda heat protecting spray while it's still damp and either Sebastian Re-Shaper or John Frieda Firm Hold hair sprays to style. I don't use any serums, mouses or other products on my hair and I rely solely on a good teasing comb and my velcro rollers for volume.

My Go-To Hair Style:

I try as much as possible to skip blow drying my hair and will usually towel dry then stick it up in a bun until it's dry. Once it's dry, I will put my head down and spritz some hair spray on it. I then will go to the roots of my crown, front of hair and sides of hair and tease it at the root with a fine comb or a small narrow brush. Once I'm done with that, I will throw in some hot rollers for 20-30 minutes. When it's time to take them out, I scrunch them with my hand before letting them down. Once they're all out, I don't put a brush or comb to my head but instead will opt for a quick hair shake and a last minute spritz of hair spray. The result is a beachy, wavy hair texture that looks better and better as the day goes on.

Career Updates =)

The last time I updated my blog was when I first started hosting for Maria Menounos' network called AfterbuzzTV. Since then, I have had SO many amazing things happen for me in my career and I truly owe it all to my hard work, dedication and of course Kevin and Maria! When I first moved to LA I was definitely confused as to what it was I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. With a strong background in communications and advertising, I knew I had something to fall back on but I didn't want that to be my crutch when deciding what I'm truly passionate about. I dabbled in to acting for a year until I realized I have a lot more fun being myself than being somebody else! Now almost a year in to TV hosting, I am proud to say a.) I am using my Journalism degree which is always a plus, b.) I love every second of what I am doing, and c.) I work my butt off every day booking celebrities, interviewing incredibly talented people and working alongside some of the most inspiring and motivated TV hosts in this business.

I am also the host for WestsideTV--mainly Brentwood, Century City and Santa Monica. I love the people I work with and I am so appreciative to work for these cities.

I am so lucky to be working with such incredibly talented and kind people. Phil Svitek, Keven Undergaro and all of the hosts welcomed me to the AfterBuzzTV team from the moment I stepped in the studio, and it really makes the experience so much more enjoyable when you love the people you're surrounded by. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn from each person there and I only hope every future hosting endeavor I work in will be as welcoming and team-oriented as AfterBuzz has been.  =)

It's FINALLY that time of year when I get to fill my apartment with pumpkin-scented candles, watch Hocus Pocus re-runs a million times, brainstorm costume ideas, bake Halloween treats, go apple picking, carve a pumpkin, and over-dose on candy corn!

Being that I live in LA now, I don't get the opportunity to go all out and decorate my large front yard the way I would back home in Massachusetts, therefore, I opt for some Halloween accents that add just the right amount of spooky without cluttering my LA place. =)

How do you decorate for Halloween?

Liquid Dessert: The Most Delicious Wines I've Ever Had

I'm willing to admit that I'm super picky about wine so it took a while to find my favorites. If you're like me and you love sweet wine that isn't dry and doesn't leave a strong alcohol aftertaste then you need to try these!

(my favorite is '06)

What I Wore

I'm so in to wearing patterned tights for fall/winter so I paired them with these incredible Chanel b&w boots, a black bandage skirt and a white tank.
